This set of game improvement irons features our patented transitional HYBs as well as HYBs that feature Velocity Slot Technology. Velocity Slot Technology provides substantially more forgiveness and better launch conditions. It features an ultra thin face, perimeter weighting and a low CG throughout the set. The new Trans-HYBs feature the Velocity Slot Technology that give it a better launch angle and more forgiveness.
For the first time in a HYB club, the Idea a12 OS HYB utilizes Velocity Slot Technology to produce a spring-like effect across the entire face, which improves forgiveness and increases launch angle without increasing spin; this combined with the ultra thin face produces higher ball speeds increasing distance.
The Idea a12 OS set also includes redesigned Transitional HYBs with a "Truss Back" design allowing more weight to be distributed to the perimeter of the club lowering the center of gravity making them optimally suited for bridging the gap between the HYBs and the deep undercut cavity-back irons of the set.
