After receiving feedback straight from Tour players, Callaway Golf designers decided to refine the X-Forged Irons. The end result is precision clubs that let elite players dissect the course. Forged from soft carbon steel, the clubhead has been redesigned with more bounce and camber and a tighter sole radius. The thin topline, narrow sole and short blade length allow for excellent workability. The Flighted CG Design produces strong trajectories and premium distance control while the new Progressive Dual Notch Weighting allows weight to be precisely positioned for optimized performance throughout the set.

Forged from soft carbon steel, X-Forged irons feature a redesigned clubhead with more bounce and camber and a tighter sole radius. The additional bounce improves the clubs' turf interaction, while the added camber makes the clubs more versatile than traditional irons. Callaway also tightened the X-Forged irons' sole radius to boost their adaptability under various playing conditions. And to top it off, the company bestowed the clubs with a thin topline and a shorter blade length, which combine to generate maximum workability. Add in a white chrome finish--which mutes glare--and you have a terrific set of clubs for highly skilled golfers.

The X-Forged irons are outfitted with a couple of core technologies that create a premium feel and performance. Callaway starts by placing weight on the top and bottom of the clubs' cavity to create a system called Progressive Dual Notch Weighting. In this system, the company strategically adds more weight to shorter irons and removes weight from longer irons. At the same time, the company positions the center of gravity differently depending on the club (lower in long irons, higher in short irons), creating an effect called Flighted CG Design. Combined, the two features help produce strong, penetrating trajectories and precision distance control, with a seamless performance progression throughout the entire set.
